Data Sharing and Data Use from an Urban Indian Perspective

Join the National Council for Urban Indian Health for a discussion on the legal and policy considerations related to data use and data sharing. This standalone virtual event will include a brief presentation on the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) and provide a space for Urban Indian Organizations to discuss insights, barriers, and best practices in data use and data sharing. 

NCUIH-Led Guided Discussion By: 

  • Myca Grant Hunthrop, MPH 
  • Rori Collins, JD, Esq (Nenana Native Village (Tanana Athabascan)) 

Objectives: 

  1. Increase knowledge surrounding the current landscape of TEFCA, data use, and data sharing. 
  2. Gather information from Urban Indian Organizations (UIOs) about facilitators and barriers to data use and data sharing. 
  3. Gather opinions and perspectives from UIOs about data use and data sharing.
