Short Abstract:

President Bush has announced that he intends to veto H.R. 6331, the Medicare Physician’s Fee Fix that also contains the Special Diabetes Program for Indians. Congress needs to know that this bill is critically important not just to protect the health care access of our elders, but to maintain the SDPI programs serving American Indians and Alaska Natives. Indian Country cannot survive both a 10% decrease in Medicare payments for our elders or losing the SDPI program.
