As part of the Northeastern Oklahoma Psychology Internship Program, the Indian Health Care Resource Center (IHCRC) provides annual internships that prepare individuals to work in underserved areas. Speakers from the IHCRC will share background and best practices about their pre-doctoral internship so that others may learn and implement the components they use to grow and sustain their Indigenous workforce. Attendees will learn the role of internship programs in developing culturally competent health care leaders and appreciate the importance of diversity in improved patient outcomes.
