Short Abstract: This document is not intended to be a comprehensive overview of the needs of the Urban Indian Health Program, but rather the intent is to identify immediate issues and concerns for the incoming Administration. The Urban Indian Health Program has suffered decades of neglect, and in the last four years, outright hostility and attack. The National Council of Urban Indian Health hopes to work with the incoming Administration to remedy the problems and difficulties facing the UIHP. This document is an invitation to discuss what NCUIH sees as problems and potential solutions for the UIHP.
