Between 2023-2024, the National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH) conducted an Urban American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Overdose Needs Assessment through funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Cooperative Agreement OT18-1802. This needs assessment aimed to understand and analyze the impacts of substance misuse and opioid overdoses on Urban Indian Organizations (UIOs) and the urban AI/AN populations that they serve.
