Short Abstract:

The National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH) hereby presents the Obama Transition team with a transition plan identifying both short term and long standing health issues for urban American Indian and Alaska Native health that could be addressed by the Obama Administration within the first 100 days.  This transition plan has been divided by agency and policy concerns to ease its readability. Issues requiring legislative action as well as NCUIHs positions on national health care reform have been intentionally excluded from the 100 days section as these subjects are addressed in a different paper.
