Short Abstract:

This revised document was developed by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) with assistance from the Illinois Childhood Lead Poisoning Elimination Advisory Council for the Illinois Lead Program (Program). The revised guidelines provide the following information, current U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations, state laws on testing and reporting, case management and follow-up of children and pregnant persons with elevated blood lead levels (EBLLS), medical management of children and pregnant persons with EBLLs, health education and outreach.
